SLIDE 13

FINAL SLIDE

Previous roads built into the Yasuni region have been the number one cause of environmental damage, such as significant deforestation and over-hunting. Roads have also had negative impacts on the Huaorani. Many Huaorani communities complain of health problems and illnesses due to pollution from the oil projects. The Petrobras road would enter one of the most pristine sections of both the Yasuni National Park and ancestral Huaorani territory; thus the negative impacts are that much more serious.
